Chef Shannon Smith’s Diverse Cookbook: A Culinary Journey through 53 Countries

Oklahoma Chef Shares Culinary Adventures and Recipes from Around the Globe

Shannon Smith, a private chef from Tulsa, has just released a cookbook that reflects the diverse cuisines she’s encountered during her travels around the world. Smith started cooking about 20 years ago and has since visited 53 countries, immersing herself in different cultures to understand how they prepare their food.

Through her travels, Smith met people who shared their cultures and recipes with her. Over six years, she documented these experiences along with pictures and recipes in her book. Each chapter represents a different place where she has cooked, with only one chapter dedicated to the United States, specifically New Mexico.

Featuring 12 chapters, each containing 10 to 11 recipes, Smith’s cookbook is a reflection of the diverse cuisines she’s encountered on her journeys. She self-published the book, making it exclusively available for purchase on her website, chefshannon.com.
