High School Sports: Moberly Girls Soccer Extends Winning Streak with Victory Over Fulton

The Moberly Spartans were determined to maintain their winning streak as they faced off against Fulton on Thursday night. With their strong offensive and defensive strategies, the Spartans emerged victorious with a solid 5-0 win. In the first half, Zoey Richardson scored the opening goal off an assist from Karlie McGee, giving Moberly a 1-0 lead.

Fulton struggled to contain Moberly’s offense in the first half, with Zaylee Heaton adding to the score with a second goal. This allowed Moberly to enter the second half with a comfortable lead of 2-0. Early on in the second half, Adalynn Hollyway scored a quick goal, further solidifying the Spartans’ lead at 3-0.

Moberly continued to dominate in the second half, executing their offensive plays with precision. Heaton managed to outsmart the defender and score another goal, bringing the score to 4-0 in favor of the Spartans. Despite Fulton’s efforts, they struggled to contain Moberly’s offense throughout the game.

As time ran out on Thursday night, Jacey Engel earned a corner kick for Moberly. She capitalized on this opportunity and scored a goal, sealing their impressive victory over Fulton.
